~ 'Tis the Season ~

My sister is a 'Saint', she spent some time this past weekend getting the decorations and tree up. Mind you it's not as festive as it has been in years past but at least the decorations are up.

I'm a bit bummed about the holiday this year. I've done nothing. I've purchased not one gift. Not one! I know I will get out and get a few but this Dr appointment today threw a monkey wrench into things.

Besides being scared to death about what the next step is, it has more then likely taken my recovery time and pushed it out even further. I thought maybe the numbness would get better, but to be honest I think it's getting worse. The past several nights I've woken up to soreness in my ankle and my thigh. I couldn't lay there so I'd have to get up and walk around. I have no idea what is in store, but based on my primary doctor it appears more surgery. Another stay in the hospital. Trust me I want to get better, but I have a fear of being under and this time it is no different.

My appointment is at 5 pm, and no doubt I was pushed in for today. That in itself is a bit scary. Good vibes sent my way would be appreciated. I know I've asked for a ton, but ....... thanks :) I'll definitely stop by later and give an update... 'les of course they force me to the hospital right away.

Hugs
~d

Donna ~ Hugs & lots of prayers are being sent your way. There's no shame in fearing the unknown, but my prayers are that you won't have to deal with the unknown much longer. How wonderful your sister was able to get your tree up and decorated! Bless her heart! ... and Bless your heart! Hang in there ... things will get better.

Peace,
Linda (ILBELLE)

I can certainly understand your fears, concerns, and uncertainty these days, you have been on quite a journey. But you have done SO WELL, and you are in good hands, and you will continue to do well. Keeping you in my prayers dear lady ... hang in there. Once you turn that corner, the sun will shine brighter! But remember ... you've come a long, long way and have done so well!

BIG hugs ~ Lois B

Pretty tree..my bil had something wrong with his legs after having triple bypass, but he is fine now. that was several years ago.
I think medication helped him.
Try not to worry, sometimes things are not as bad as they seem.
And have a way of working out.
Be kind to yourself and try not to stress. I know your family will understand. I hope you have a good dr. visit and get some time to enjoy the holiday season.
Love, Cassie

Ask away Donna, early treatment is good so I am glad they are getting you in quickly. I think everyone will understand you lack of doing shopping and you have already given them the best gift by just being here. Take care.

Donna,
I know that i am just another fuddy duddy -Disabled Veteran, but someday you will realize that we all have priorities as the Bible says. Christmas and the goofy traditions that mankind has dreamed up are not even scriptural, so why get upset at outwards appearances?? We won't even have a tree this year and ALL I want is a clean house with love in it.
I hope you take this comment the right way.

Dear Donna
It goes without saying that I will keep you in my prayers. I know all will go well because you are a fighter.
I wouldn't worry about presents as your good health is more important than those this year.
Your tree is beautiful.
Thinking of you and waiting to hear how you get on.

Donna, I'm so sorry to hear you're still suffering. I'm sending good vibes and prayers that the doctor can do something to help the pains in your leg and foot go. I hope the appointment goes well. Your tree looks pretty and I'm sure the family will understand that you can't rush out buying presents this year. Just take it easy till you're mended, that'll be the best present for your family and us. Jeannette xx

This is a tough time of year to be down. It's hard enough getting ready for the holidays when you are hale and hearty, let alone recovering from major surgery! I'm glad your sister helped you out with the decorations...

I still have my fingers crossed that you don't have to do another surgery. I'm like you.. the going under always scares the snot out of me. Still, it sounds like you have good docs and they are on top of things.

Always good to see an update from you.
