~ A Different View ~

Photobucket

Aaaahhhh  much better :)   This is the picture I wanted to use in my entry last night.   I loved how it came out.  The black circle framing the picture is actually my add on zoom.  Some of you might remember the photo's I took of 'bug' awhile back that I used it on.  I loved the effect, so I used it one night shooting the sunset/moon out my bathroom window.  I traced the circle and added a drop shadow to see how that looked.  Definitely different.
So, is it all blurry for you?  Fuzzy?  Distorted?  It might be if you are using AOL's browser.  I wrote to Photobucket after the issues I had last night with my pictures.  I got a response from them today.  Damn I was surprised by their response.  I guess AOL is really going to hell in a handbasket.  See their response below.
Dear nightmaremom@aol.com,
The issues you are experiencing are due to the AOL browser. Please read the
following FAQ link in regards to supported web browsers and update at this
time for full functionality as we no longer support the AOL browser.

So after reading I went and installed Firefox.  OMG!!!  I cannot believe how easy it was.  How fast the download and install were.   I'm in the process of moving my favorites here.  I will definitely be using this as my main browser going forward.  The pages are so crisp and clean.  My pictures look like my pictures.   I know many of you aren't into doing things like this but you can open the browser up right over AOL if you like.  Believe me when I say it will make a difference.  Plus I have to wonder how long it will be that AOL will have the support of any of the outside services we use.  Slowly but surely things are disappearing.  Is AOL next?  I know we've talked about this in the past, but each day it seems to get closer and closer.  Sad really..............
Thanks to all the words of support and love from my last post.  I so appreciated it.  I have missed you all!!  Kind of surprised by the lack of requests on my tag offer, but then again I'm not.  I don't think folks are using them like they use to.  But alas... try firefox :)
Fathers day was a good one.  We all gathered at my parents.  It was tons of fun but the weather could have been better.  We've been getting a good chunk of rain.. as has so much of the country.  I'm looking forward to this week.  High 70's - 80's for the week.  Can you say parents built in pool after work?   LOL   Hope all the Dad's out there had a great Father's day.....  and those Mom's that had dual roles I sure hope your day was good as well.
Hugs
~d

AOL browser stinks. I've been using firefox for the past few years along with AOL. I keep both browsers opened. I only keep AOL open mainly for my mail. I also uploaded AOL DESKTOP, but can't figure out where my favorites are on there so I switched back to regular AOL. I can only edit my blog thru Firefox, NOT AOL.
So...... Welcome to FIREFOX! ;)
Safari is good too..;)

I recently began having major problems with AOL and IE, so switched to Google Chrome as my browser. It's made a huge difference. I recommend that anyone who is still using the AOL browser switch over to another browser ASAP. I only use AOL for mail now...nothing else.

Glad to hear you're doing well!

I think my browser is google. My son wanted to change me to firefox but I am satisfied. I have not had aol for a long time. I only use it for mail and I also have a gmail account I use mostly. I never did download AOL on this commputer because it had given me too much trouble on the other one.
I love this photo. It is mysterious. I love it that you experiment with your photos as you do. You are really a talented photographer. I got to using Connie's graphics in your absence, but she gets discouraged as people are not using them as much, but I thought you had to work too hard, and you are a good writer, too. Your graphics will never be forgotten by me anyway. I will never forget the effect some of them had on me. Like that lone horse in the storm. Connie is a big horse lover and sends me horse graphics all the time. I like to use them as headers to change off from photographs. I like to use some of Sugar's animated more religious graphics so opened a photobucket account.
So glad you are feeling better. I thought of you while watching the hockey playoffs. Phoenix has not been a very good hockey town, but the team was not good under that star player. But they voted to keep the team because they built an arena for it. Gerry

I NEVER thought I'd give up AOL, but I have and I'm SO MUCH happier! I hardly EVER get into AOL anymore.

Love that shot of the moon, BTW!!!

Firefox is brilliant isn't it? I love your moon/sunset photo, it's surreal looking! My photos look so much better in Firefox too, no blurring at all. Nice when you find something that runs smoothly and works well! I'm not posting hardly at all now except for my travel journal so I don't use that many tags. Though I can never resist the Gorjuss ones! Enjoy the week and the pool! Jeannette xxxx

Just look at her hanging in the sky!
So beautiful and awe-inspiring.

And I think that framing looks perfect.

AOL browser definitely sucks. I still use it because it's what I'm used to...but I also have Firefox which I go to when AOL is being a pain in the ass.

And yes, I'll be the first to admit I just don't use tags in my posts anymore.

I do use signature tags though. :)

XOXO

Beautiful picture!!! Love it

I love your graphics , always will...I still use graphics from time to time...but wish blogger was more user friendly as far as graphics go...they always shrink them..and you can't use animated with blogger...you have to use photobucket...it's alot of trouble sometimes...but graphics are worth it for their beauty! I appreciate all you have made me and continue to make....

It is been miserable hot here lately...got in my truck today and it said 100 degrees...then dropped down to 98...the humidity is awful!

Have a great week!

I've been using Firefox since we vacated AOL and their dial-up service almost three years ago. Haven't looked back. Love your tags, but keeping an eye on my storage here on the computer for everything. So lazy to move things to other areas. :::sigh:::

I'm so very sorry for not stopping by in such a while. I've had "issues" myself.
You will LOVE Firefox/Mozilla! And it's such a safe browsing experience. I've been using it for about 6 years (or longer) now and it's awesome---especially all the great add-ons you can use. I've actually become pretty darn proficient with it, so if you have any questions just holler at me ok? And you will alwyas get great support from the people at Firefox/Mozilla.
That picture is just out of this world---your so talented! I love it :)
Now I love Photobucket and have been with them for almost7 years, but when I upload my videos, they are so distorted. YouTube does the same thing. Arghhhhhh! (lol) Maybe I should send off an email to Photobucket and try to get that fixed.

Biggest Hugs, Gayla
