Yeap, it's that time again.  Guess who our mystery blogger is.  Thought about doing this one later, maybe get it closer to the holiday but then thought naaahhh doing it in the order they were received.  Leave your guess in the comment section.

 Evenin folks!  Hope this finds everyone happy and ready for hump day :)   I took the picture of the gazebo the other day when I was at the park.  I decided to mess around with it.  It's suppose to give the effect of color pencil...   I thought it looked interesting.  I am also posting the unedited version so you can see what it was to start with. 

Lots of rumors flying around about AOL and it's demise.  I have no idea if they are going to completely close shop or if they are just not going to support file storage etc any longer.  Either way I guess we all should be prepared and save what you want in case one day we wake up and 'poof' it's gone.  Where will they put the banner for that little announcement?  Our ever changing welcome screen?  I do know it's unbelievably slow.  I've gotten a few alerts and when I went to check them out, I took a nap while I waited for them to open.  Sad indeed! 

I will admit with the exception of the alerts and restrictions on private journals I like it here.  Our community has moved and very successfully I might add.  So.. JLand to Bland?  LOL  I don't think 'Bland' is a good name.. we are far from Bland!!!

Ok..  off to mess around some more.  Have a good one folks

~ Wanna Bet? ~

A couple of months ago I was having a conversation with a manager at work.  Not my manager, but a manager.  One thing led to another about closing a deal.  His response, 'plan on taking me to dinner, it will be closed in 60 days.'  I put my hand out, 'I'll take that bet.'   Now keep in mind I'd much rather have the deal closed as it would benefit me tremendously, but with the work being done (or not done) on it I knew he'd never succeed.  

Last week the 60 days was up, and guess what.  Yeap, here I thought I was going to dinner.  NOT.  No he did not renig on the deal.  He is out of town on business, and emails were exchanged back and forth.  At one point after we narrowed down a day we'd both be available we tried to figure out where to go.  I jokingly said, 'the Harbor Club.'  :::big ass grin::: The Harbor Club is located in the arena and only open when there are events going on.  This time of year you know where I was going.  If the boys (Buffalo Sabres) were playing by default..... Next thing I know the day is changed and we are going to a game.  Whuuuuu huuuuu
I'm stoked!  I'll be in great seats to see the boys play the Boston Bruins on Oct 21.  You know I will have my camera and extra lens with me :)  We'll be sitting here.  I know I will still have some netting to shoot thru but I do think with the extra lens and I can shoot towards the other net and not have it be in the way.   Did I say I was stoked yet?  No worries Brit, I'll try and get you a shot of your honey. 

So yeah, I wanna bet!!!

Took this picture a few days back while I was out and about.   I loved the way the pine tree and cones were up against the blue sky.  I played with it a bit in PSP and decided I liked the way it came out.  Sort of a painting.  Or not... my sister didn't think so, but call my imaginative ... or on drugs.  I thought it did. 

All here has been good.  Busy as all get out.  My workload has increased ten fold and I'm fried when I get home.  I've been doing some graphics for work.  Well, not graphics but editing some photo's and that is taking up some free time at night.  Ummmmmmm, yeah, there is $$ involved.  LOL 

I also happened to go by Suzanne Woolcott's site and I just couldn't resist the girls on my header tag.  I had to.....   so I used part of the gift certificate I was given awhile back and purchased them.   Keep tight I will get them in a tag offer :)

Mystery Blogger...  I have a few new readers - thank you so much for stopping by ::waving:: I appreciate it.  They, however, are not familiar with it.  It all started over on AOL as a slight joke, trick.  Anyway, folks joined in and now it is a regular (at least while I have pictures.)   Folks have sent me a picture of themselves.  Preferably an older one, along with a link to their journal, and a few hints.  I post the picture with the hints and folks try to guess who is it.  I then post the answer along with a link back to your journal.  The results being that you get more readers/visitors.  We've found it to be pretty funny, and a lot of fun.  Feel free to join in. 

Ohhhhhhhhh and the Bills lost yesterday.  No, they didn't lose they got crushed.  Three offensive plays in and our quarterback was knocked out of the game with a concussion.  OUCH!!  Good thing this is a bye week so he has a few extra days to bounce back.  As I've said before, I knew they wouldn't go undefeated but 5-0 would have been nice.  ::sigh::

~ Mystery Blogger Update ~

Imagine that, still going strong. Hopefully it will continue to gain speed as we all get comfy in our new homes. Our mystery blogger is none other then Tawnya over Insanity Isn't a Disease. Stop over and give her some love........ great lady if you ask me.

~ Photo Challenge ~

I thought about going and getting another picture, but I do like this. A local park/golf course in my area. It's usually pretty crowded. Kids playing, folks fishing, people canoeing in the lake. With the chilly weather it is pretty peaceful. The colors and quiet. Yeap, change :)

~ Don't Jump ~

Good Mornin!! Don't jump folks, it's not that bad. Ok, except for the fact that my subscription service sent out an alert for the past 8 entries. LOL I guess I was suppose to approve each subscription as well and I didn't. I did it this morning and poof off went that mail. So sorry for the intrusion, but now you know I'm making entries :) Well, at least one person I know got that email. I do hope everyone who signed up got an email.
I have to be honest. I like it here. There are a few glitches, and I feel a little lonely with the lack of comments but I feel they'll come once folks get the hang of it around here. I find the actual set up user friendly with lots of things to add. Things AOL could not even dream off. Alerts would be nice.......
I had several emails and comments about the email thingy. I DO get comment alerts I knew how to add my email to that portion of blogger. What I was in fact talking about was the comments from you. I don't get YOUR email. I get your username if you have one, but no email. I have to hunt you down to find an email address ( I don't have AOL save them). That proves to be time consuming if I want to respond to your comment or if you ask a question. Sometimes I can't even find an email address. That is one glitch I don't like. YOU have the option to fix it tho. Add an email address to your blogger profile then all comments that go out have your email address on them. Is that making sense? I thought I was pretty clear in previous entries but with all the notes I got on how to get comment alerts it apparently wasn't.
Can I just say it's freezing here!! A whopping 43 degrees :::shiver::: A little chillier then just fall weather. The picture above is actually the creek that runs behind my house. I pulled over on the bridge about a mile from my house and grabbed the shot. I thought it would be a better view, but it didn't come out as I hoped. I did do some editing to give it a bit of an old time feel. Successful? LOL I don't know.
Not sure what I will be doing today. I know of 2 people that will in fact get our football game. One has a satellite and the other was lucky enough to get those dang rabbit ears. Who in a million years would have thought in this day and age 1000's of folks would stand in line for hours to get them??? Either way I'm hoping to get the game. I'd love it if the Bills could go 5-0.
The boys play their last preseason game tonight and then it's off to the regular season. Do I even need to tell you how excited I am? LMAO I didn't think so.
